Le Domaine

Bank, Medical center, Residential in Vétroz, Valais, Suisse

Project statement

The “Domaine” project in Vétroz, Valais, Switzerland, brought together several different functions in the center of the village: a medical center, a bank, residential buildings, and a small shopping center.

Each element came with its own set of requirements and regulations ; particularly the bank, with strict security standards, and the medical center, with very specific technical demands. For this reason, only preliminary application plans are shown here.

The main challenge was to integrate these diverse programs into a coherent development while respecting the urban context of the site.

My workflow

For this project, I used a modular workflow similar to the one I developed for the “Esplanade Léonard.”

A module is a separate file that can be imported into the main project and reused as many times as needed.

The advantage is that if a module is updated once, the changes automatically apply everywhere it is used. In this case, I created modules only for the apartment layouts, while the exterior envelopes of the buildings were modeled directly in the main file.

This method allowed me to quickly test and adapt different apartment configurations without redrawing everything, keeping the workflow efficient and consistent across the project.
